Revolutionary AQUIOL™ Skincare: Latest Research Breakthrough
At MGC Derma, we take pride in contributing to scientific progress and we're proud to announce a peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology on the subject of CBD in skincare, conducted by Professor David Finn of University College Galway, his student Maria Redmond, and members of our Advisory Board.
Explore the science behind AQUIOL™ — the patented technology redefining CBD skincare with superior absorption and clinically validated results.
We invite you to discover the key findings of this remarkable research below. You can access the full publication via the link provided at the end of the article.
The cannabidiol (CBD), a vegetal plant extract, has been extensively used and studied recently.
Besides the effects of CBD absorbed by the mouth, with significant effects on pains, it was necessary to decipher the mechanisms of action of CBD on the skin and better understand the mode of action of CBD when directly applied on the skin.
It was discovered that there are more than 40 targets of CBD in the skin, which explains why CBD has so many indications on skin disorders, whether it is medical or cosmetic.
In fact CBD can modulate almost all skin cell types present in the skin: the fibroblasts involved in wound healing and skin aging, the keratinocytes involved in psoriasis , the sebaceous cells involved in Acne, the mast cells responsible for itching along with the sensory nerves.
It is why CBD is a great ingredient for treating psoriasis, acne, eczema and reducing skin dryness and skin aging.
In addition, it has the advantage of being of vegetal origin and the topical route is a sustainable mode of use, as the ingredient reaches directly the numerous targets in the skin, preventing first pass metabolism and targeting internal body unnecessary receptors.
Formulas with CBD were tested in acne, with efficacy results and good skin tolerance. It was also shown that topical CBD improves eczema and itching in patients. Other effects on patients include reducing itch, and improving scars.
The additional effects on hydration and elasticity make CBD an ingredient of choice for cosmetic formulas, including prevention of skin damage by sunlight.
All these data have just been published by Pr Finn and Maria Redmond, International experts of CBD science in a peer reviewed Medical Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology and we let you discover more on the paper itself on the following link.
